Job Information
Located in Yellowknife and reporting to the Territorial Manager, Supportive Living, the Adult Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Program Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and operation of an assessment and diagnosis clinic for adults suspected of having FASD in the Northwest Territories. The Adult FASD Program Coordinator will focus initially on planning the program and engaging support services and then begin implementation of the Adult FASD Assessment and Diagnostic Clinic under their continued leadership.
The Adult FASD Program Coordinator will be required to assess, provide supports, and develop an individual care plan based on the Adult FASD Assessment findings, set goals, and work within a MDT to provide daily case management, as well as Act as an expert of FASD information for the NTHSSA and community stakeholders.
Typically, the above qualifications are attained by:
A Master's Degree in an Allied Health field (such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Language Pathology or Social Work) or Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of five years of work experience in a related area that includes case management and experience providing services to adults with disabilities and/or mental health concerns.
